Anissa Armet is a Registered Dietitian and direct-entry fourth-year PhD Candidate in Nutrition and Metabolism at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. She completed her BSc in Nutrition and Food Science and her Integrated Dietetic Internship at the University of Alberta in 2018. Her current research focuses the interconnected relationship among diet, the gut microbiome, and human health, with a particular interest in how this translates to precision nutrition applications. Anissa is currently conducting two intervention trials to determine the effects of targeted dietary fibre interventions on the gut microbiome and human health.
