I am a 5th year PhD candidiate in Nutrition Science at Purdue University. My doctoral research focuses on the intersectional field of gut microbies, dietary bioactive compounds and colon inflammation. To answer the reseach questions, I've been actively using cellular models (both human and bacteria cells), animals model (colitis, colon cancer, antibiotic-treatment) and bioinformatic tools. In addition to research, I teach undergrad courses in nutrition science and food science and was awarded the Graduate Teaching Award at Purdue University. In 2019, I joined ASN and has been serving ASN's Student Interes Groups since then. I am curretnly chair-elect of the group, and will work as the chair after the conference.
