My name is Laurent Turner and I am currently a graduate student pursuing a master’s degree in Health and Exercise Science at Concordia University in Montréal, Canada. My primary research interests and goals are directed towards understanding the mechanisms underlying obesity pathologies. Particularly, I am interested in examining the factors underlying inter-individual differences in chronic disease susceptibility and how current lifestyle, surgical and pharmacological treatments can be improved to target individual needs. Eager to gain a deeper understanding of obesity-associated comorbidities, I will soon begin my doctoral studies in hopes to expand my knowledge of this chronic disease.
