After finishing residency at Cook County Hospital in 2003, Dr. John Bailitz served as a clerkship director, assistant program director, advising committee chair, and POCUS division director. John returned to his medical school alma mater, Northwestern University as program director in 2017, and now serves as vice-chair for academics and system POCUS director. John has been an educator and leader, with the ACEP US Section, Society for Clinical US Fellowships, Emergency US Fellowship Accreditation Council, ACEP Education, and ABEM. As a scholar of wellness and faculty development lead, John carefully integrates a full family and work life, while helping his colleagues likewise create enjoyable and impactful medical careers.
