David Dillon, MD, PhD is a StARR research fellow in the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Department of Emergency Medicine. He earned his MD at Weill Cornell Medical College, where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, before completing his Emergency Medicine residency at UCSF, where he was a chief resident. David was a Gates Cambridge Scholar and holds a PhD in Epidemiology and a MPhil in Public Health from the University of Cambridge. His doctoral research investigated HIV and ART as risk factors for cardiometabolic disease in sub-Saharan Africa. He studied organic chemistry and German as an undergraduate at Northwestern University. In his spare time David enjoys cycling and surfing.
