Rachel Dunkley is a research assistant for Stanford University's Department of Emergency Medicine. She is a 3rd-year undergraduate student attending the University of Texas at Austin and is pursuing her BSA in Human Development and Family Sciences on the Pre-Med track. She is also minoring in African and African Diaspora Studies with an emphasis on critical race, gender, and sexuality theories. Her goal is to become a pediatrician who provides affordable health care and creates safe spaces in medicine for underrepresented communities such as people of color and the LGBTQIA+ community. As an undergraduate student, she seeks to gain any and all experience that can teach her more about research and medicine and shape her into the doctor she aspires to be.
