Mackensie Yore is a fellow with the National Clinician Scholars Program at UCLA and attending physician in the emergency department at the Greater Los Angeles VA Medical Center. Her research interests include high-need high-cost patients in the ED, screening for and addressing the social determinants of health, care for people with substance use disorders and mental health conditions, patient-physician communication, and the intersection between urban planning, the environment, and public health. Dr. Yore is a graduate of the emergency medicine residency program at UCSF Fresno, where she served as a chief resident and started the UCSF Fresno Health Equity Action Lab, aimed at better understanding and working to mitigate health inequities in the California Central Valley. Dr. Yore received her medical degree from Stanford University.
