David Hao is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Stanford, where he completed his fellowship in global emergency medicine in 2020. He has an Executive MPH in Health Policy and Management, and he has a MS in Management Info Systems with a concentration in information security, and he has training in telehealth. He grew up in China, and half his family remains in rural China, where limited access to healthcare is a significant issue. His main goal is to help local partners in low-resource settings to strengthen emergency care systems to improve access to care by leveraging digital health tools. Currently, he is part of the Department of Emergency Medicine Digital Health Team to implement telehealth and lead training of faculty and staff. And, he is the co-lead of the Department of Emergency Medicine Collaborations Strategic Plan Team focusing on creating an ecosystem to foster collaborations internally and externally.
