Andrew Rundle is a Professor of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University and co-directs the Built Environment and Health Research Group. He is currently studying the role of urban design, urban development, alcohol and alcohol selling establishments in pedestrian injury. His project is also studying how the siting of services for those experiencing homelessness places the underhoused at risk of pedestrian fatality. This is the first systematic study of whether decisions on locating these social services creates risk for users of these services.
