Dr. Shieh completed his pediatrics residency training at Children's Hospital of Orange County/UC Irvine and is a current Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellow at University of Michigan. His research foci include 1) reducing use of advanced imaging for pediatric appendicitis, 2) identifying risk factors for invasive procedures in the management of pediatric epistaxis, and 3) reducing use of chest radiography in pediatric asthma exacerbations. Outside of research, he is interested in medical education and mentorship.
