Kimberly Joseph, MD, FACS, FCCM is the outgoing Chair of the ATLS Subcommittee and the incoming Education Pillar Chair for the Committee on Trauma. She worked as a surgeon and intensivist at the Department of Trauma & Burns at Cook County Hospital (now Stroger Hospital) in Chicago, Illinois where she was the Division Chair for Trauma Critical Care/Prevention for many years. She is also the Executive Director of the Surgical Section of the National Medical Association and a member of several organizations including EAST, AAST, SCCM, the American Trauma Society, the Association of Women Surgeons, the American Public Health Association, and the Society for Social Work Leadership in Healthcare.
