Dr. Derkay is the Fine Endowed Professor of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Vice-Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology and Chief of Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Children's Hosptial of the King's Daughters.
He is a past-president of ASPO and SENTAC, past-chair of the AAO-HNS Pediatric Otolaryngology Committee and past-chair of the American College of Surgeon's Otolaryngology Advisory Council. He has served the AAO-HNS as Secretary of its AMA delegation.
Author of >150 peer-reviewed publications and >30 book chapters, Dr. Derkay's main research focus has been in Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis.
