Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
Christine Little is a 3rd-year medical student from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Originally from the California Bay Area, she completed her undergraduate education at Wesleyan University where she graduated with a dual degree in chemistry and molecular biology & biochemistry (MB&B). During her undergraduate education, she spent 3-years in the lab of Dr. Ishita Mukerji investigating the mechanisms binding in DNA-protein interactions using fluorescence spectroscopy, receiving high honors for her research. Upon graduating, Christine accepted a position in the Cancer Immunotherapy Department at Genentech in San Francisco, investigating the role of stromal cells in the pathogenesis of malignancy and inflammatory processes. While in medical school, she has continued her passion for research into the fields of neurotology, laryngology and thyroid cancer, with an emphasis on population health and patient-centered clinical outcomes research. She plans on applying into ENT residency this upcoming year.
