Keiko Hirose is a pediatric otolaryngologist and physician-scientist at Washington University School of Medicine. Her clinical practice is focused on the care of children with hearing loss, chronic ear disease, and speech/communication issues. She leads a basic research laboratory at the Central Institute for the Deaf where she investigates the contributions of innate immunity to diseases of the inner ear and is funded through the National Institutes of Health.
