Charlotte Hansen is an assistant director at the American Veterinary Medical Association as a lead economist and GIS analyst. She uses statistical methods, geospatial analysis, and applied research in providing timely and relevant veterinary insights through different media outlets. She is published in several journals and has been a part of several different industry news and educational resources in the equine and veterinarian space. Before joining the veterinary economics division in 2016, Hansen obtained her master’s degree at the University of Kentucky in Agricultural Economics and received her B.A. in Geography from Virginia Tech. Charlotte is passionate about veterinary, equine and agricultural economics, and educational media. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, horseback riding, taking road trips, acting, and attending sports games.
