Dr. Geyer has over twenty years of experience in designing, monitoring, and analyzing clinical trials as well as observational and immunological studies as a statistical collaborator. She has designed and analyzed multiple clinical trials over the last several years that have utilized novel study designs, primarily focusing on risk-directed allocation of treatment regimens and targeted therapies. She is currently the lead faculty statistician for the Neuro Oncology Program at Mayo Clinic, and is a co-lead faculty statistician for the Alliance Neuro Oncology Committee. Dr. Geyer is an elected member of the NCI Brain Malignancies Steering Committee and also co-leads the network coordination center for the Glioblastoma Therapeutics Network (GTN). She was the lead biostatistician on a large international programmatic contract funded by the NIAID and led by the Radiation Effects Research Foundation to study radiation and immunosenescence in atomic bomb survivors. Dr. Geyer has served as invited faculty for the American Society of Hematology Clinical Research Training Institute since 2006 and the Lymphoma Research Foundation Clinical Research Mentoring Program since 2014, as well as the Society for Neuro Oncology Clinical Trials Scholars Workshop in 2021 and 2022. Dr. Geyer has served as an invited member of the Scientific Program Committees for the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Association for Cancer Research, and has served on multiple grant review panels and working group committees through the NIH including as a full member of the NIH Clinical Integrative Cardiovascular and Hematological Sciences study section.
