The SNO Annual Meeting and Education Day is the premier event for neuro-oncology professionals from across North America and around the globe.  Below are networking and social events scheduled to take place during the meeting, where attendees can connect with new collaborators and establish lasting friendships. Pre-registration is required where noted.

Building on the success of past programs, the Society for Neuro-Oncology is pleased to again host a full-day, in-person Neuro-Oncology Review Course as part of its educational programs for 2022. The course will take place on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida, immediately preceding the SNO Annual Scientific Meeting and Education Day. The program offers a fast-paced, full-day activity that provides high-quality education and CME credits for all participants. Practicing physicians, residents and fellows, medical students, nurse practitioners, nurses, and all those interested in reviewing and enhancing their knowledge in the principles of clinical neuro-oncology will benefit from this course. The faculty, selected from the top neuro-oncology programs, will offer a comprehensive overview of clinical neuro-oncology.

The Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO) and members of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Section on Neuro-Oncology are pleased to announce the 4th Annual Neuro-Oncology Fellow and Early Clinician/Investigator Career Retreat This course includes a comprehensive exploration of issues of importance to early career neuro-oncologists in the clinic and in the laboratory. Women and Diversity Award & Networking Reception

Join the Women and Diversity Committee in recognizing the recipient of the Women in Neuro-oncology (WiN) Mid-Career Exemplary Physician Award and the recipients of this year’s Diversity Scholarships for early career healthcare professionals who are underrepresented in medicine (URiM). The Diversity Scholarships are made possible by the generous support by Novocure. Award presentations will be followed by informal networking and connection building opportunities.

Join other young investigators for a keynote presentation from a senior mentor on developing leadership skills and how to build a career while maintaining a work-life balance. International Outreach Lunch Session

Join invited speaker, Dr. Stefan Pfister, as he discusses the impact of the new WHO classifications and accessibility of molecular profiling/diagnostics in developing regions with a Panel to follow with Drs. Rimas Lukas, Marcos Maldaun, and Vega Karlowee. We will recognize the 2022 Travel Scholarship recipients, representing twelve different countries from across the globe, and engage with them during a poster session. In addition, Kathy Oliver of the IBTA will provide and update on their work with Ukrainian brain tumor patients.

Track 1, Room 120, titled "What's New with NOTF," designed for neurology trainees, will provide a curriculum on core competencies in neuro-oncology, describe the benefits of NOTF Journal Club, and prepare you for UCNS certification.

Track 2, Room 121, titled “Getting involved in SNO as a student or trainee, “designed for non-neurologist students, residents, fellows, and research students. Round table discussions will also take place on my journal through neuro-oncology, senior advice on interviewing, among others.

The Forum will conclude with both tracks coming together for a networking reception. Beer, wine and little nibbles will be included. Registration is required.
