Dr. Cahill is the Tawingo Professor in Neurosurgery at Mass General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and the Vice Chair for Research for the Department. He attended Yale College and Johns Hopkins Medical School. He completed neurosurgery residency training at MGH, and then joined the junior faculty in the Department of Neurosurgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where he was in practice for several years. He was recruited to rejoin the faculty of the MGH in 2011, where he currently has an active practice of 150-200 tumor neurosurgeries per year, and serves as the director of the Translational Neuro-Oncology Lab.
