Danielle Hunt earned her BS degree in Geological Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and is currently pursuing her MS degree in Civil Engineering with a specialty in Water Resources while working as a Graduate Research Assistant at San Diego State University. She is currently working for SDSU’s Disturbance Hydrology Lab and conducting research to improve predictions of flooding, sediment transport, and hydrologic recovery in post-fire watersheds. Danielle also works as an Assistant to the Director of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities, helping to organize and promote undergraduate research through internships and summer programs. Professionally, Danielle currently interns for a civil engineering firm, providing assistance with stormwater design and earthwork calculations. She hopes to pursue a meaningful career in Water Resources Engineering after completing her MS program. Outside of work and school, Danielle enjoys fitness, reading, outdoor activities, and playing with her dogs. She is excited to be participating in her first in-person IECA event.
