I obtained my Master degree in pharmacology and my PhD degree in neuroscience from the University Paris Descartes in France. I have been investigating peripheral and central inflammatory processes in animal models of trigeminal neuropathic and inflammatory pain. My current research in Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston focuses on the physiopathology of pulpitis using behavioral test, immunohistochemistry and live cell imaging techniques. I am investigating the molecular mechanisms by which bacterial toxins activate and sensitize trigeminal neurons in dental pulp inflammation and how sensory neurons influence dental pulp healing and regeneration.
