W. Craig Noblett, D.D.S., M.S. AAE22 General Chair Dr Craig Noblett received his dental degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry and his master's and Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Iowa. He has also served as an assistant director of the GPR Program at Northwestern Memorial Hospital/Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and International College of Dentists. He has chaired seven committees for the AAE and is a past president of the Northern California Academy of Endodontics. Outside of Endodontics, Dr. Noblett has served as a Trustee of the California Dental Association, during which time he chaired the Committee on Volunteer Placement and the Nominating Committee for CDA. Most recently, he completed six years as a director of the American Board of Endodontics — serving two years as President of the ABE. Presently, Dr. Noblett serves as the division director and Graduate Program director of endodontics at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. |

Garry L. Myers, D.D.S. AAE22 Program Chair Dr. Garry L. Myers currently serves as the graduate endodontic program director at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, Va. He completed his dental school education at the University of Texas Health Science Center/San Antonio in 1985. Six years later, he completed his endodontic residency program at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics in 1994. After serving on active duty for 13 years, Dr. Myers left the U.S. Air Force in 1998 to enter full-time private practice in Olympia, Wash., where he practiced for the next 16 years. Dr. Myers has been active in organized dentistry, having served as the president of the Washington State Association of Endodontists in 2006-07 and as the President of the AAE in 2017-18. He has spoken internationally at meetings in Japan, South Korea, San Diego and Guatemala. |

Keith V. Krell, D.D.S., M.S., M.A. AAE22 Vice Program Chair Dr. Keith V. Krell has been an endodontist for 40 years. He was a full-time educator for 8 years at the University of Iowa and was in private practice in West Des Moines, Iowa for 29 years until he retired December 31,2017. He is still an adjunct clinical Professor in the department of Endodontics at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He now works part time at Broadlawns Hospital in the Dental Department treating Medicaid patients. In 1993, he retired from the U.S. Army National Guard as a lieutenant colonel after 22 years of service. He is the immediate past president of the AAE, and past president of the ABE and AAEF (now the Foundation for Endodontics). He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a Fellow in the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists. Dr. Krell has been married for nearly 50 years to Diane and they have two grown children and five grandchildren. |

Antonio Berto, D.D.S. Workshop Chair Dr. Antonio Berto completed his dental training in Madrid, Spain, where he received a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005. In 2006, Dr. Berto became a Fellow in the Department of Endodontics Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry and continued his studies there, earning a Certificate in Endodontics, also serving as the director of endodontics at the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program and as an associate clinical professor for the Department of Endodontics. Dr. Berto has published multiple articles, lectured at local, national and international meetings, served as president of the Dallas Forth Worth Metroplex Endodontic Association and the North Texas Hispanic Dental Association, and is on the Board of Directors of the Dallas County Dental Society. A Fellow of the International College of Dentists, Dr. Berto is in full-time private practice at Ayik-Berto Dental Specialists in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan area. |

Nikita B. Ruparel, D.D.S., M.S., Ph.D. Immediate Past General Chair Dr. Nikita B. Ruparel is Board-certified endodontist who practices in San Antonio at University of Texas Faculty Endodontics. She is the director of the Advanced Program in Endodontics at UT San Antonio. She received her Certificate in Endodontics in 2013 after receiving her doctoral (Ph.D.) and D.D.S. at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Her practice in endodontics includes all aspects of modern endodontics. She also lectures at national and international meetings on pain biology and management and regenerative endodontics. She has also been awarded the AAE Educator Fellowship for committing her career to academics. Dr. Ruparel is committed to a long-term career as a clinician-scientist. |
Brent D. Rundquist, D.D.S., M.S. Clinical/Ethical Dilemmas ("Prickly Situations") Track Organizer Dr. Brent D. Rundquist is a full-time endodontic practitioner with The Dental Specialists in Brooklyn Park, Minn. He practiced general dentistry for 10 years and treatment of facial pain prior to specializing in endodontics in 2003. He is a guest lecturer in the endodontic department at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, and he currently resides in South Minneapolis. Other interests include playing trombone in the Wayzata Symphony Orchestra and Ars Nova Brass Quintet, messing around on the guitar, fly fishing and exploring the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. |

Dr. Ravandoust received her D.D.S. and M.S. in Endodontics from the University of California San Francisco and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Ahmed B. Salman, D.D.S., M.S.D. Interdisciplinary Track Co-Organizer Dr. Ahmed B. Salman was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq. His initial dental training took place at the University of Baghdad, where he received a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.). Afterwards, he completed a one-year general practice residency at Cairo University Hospital in Egypt. After two years practicing as a general dentist, he decided to continue his educational journey in the United States, where he obtained a second dental degree (D.D.S) from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. During his time at the dental school, he was recognized for his passion and received an award for Excellence in Endodontics. After practicing in the Denver metro area as a general dentist, his passion towards endodontics led him to pursue postgraduate training at the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. He received a Certificate in the specialty of Endodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry (M.S.D). Dr. Salman joined a group practice limited to Endodontics in Denver and will be teaching at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine as a clinical instructor. |

William J. Nudera, D.D.S. Non-Surgical Root Canal Therapy Track Co-Organizer Dr. William J. Nudera earned a D.D.S. from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1999. He is also a Diplomate of the ABE. He served for three years in the U.S. Air Force, completing a one-year AEGD residency program. While in service, Dr. Nudera received a National Defense Service Medal and was awarded the Air Force Dental Officer of the Year in 2002. Dr. Nudera completed his endodontic training in 2005, earning his endodontic specialty certificate as well as a master’s degree in oral sciences. Dr. Nudera has authored several journal publications, as well as a chapter in the endodontic textbook, 3D Imaging in Endodontics. He maintains a full-time private practice limited to endodontics and holds a faculty position in the Department of Endodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. |

Scott L. Doyle, D.D.S., M.S. Non-Surgical Root Canal Therapy Track Co-Organizer Dr. Scott L. Doyle received his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1995 and his D.D.S. from the University of Minnesota in 1999. He served in the U.S. Air Force for seven years, and received an advanced education in general dentistry residency. Dr. Doyle obtained both his M.S. and Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Minnesota in 2004. He currently practices with Metropolitan Endodontics and serves as an associate clinical professor for the Division of Endodontics at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Doyle is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. He is a past president of the Minnesota Association of Endodontists, past chair of the AAE Continuing Education Committee, and a reviewer for the Journal of Endodontics. Dr. Doyle has authored multiple articles in scientific journals, as well as a chapter on the Endodontic Applications of CBCT in an upcoming textbook. |

Anibal R. Diogenes, D.D.S., M.S., Ph.D. Pain Track Co-Organizer Dr. Anibal R. Diogenes received his D.D.S. from Federal University of Pernambuco in Brazil, his M.S. in molecular biology from the University of Nebraska, and his Ph.D. in pharmacology and Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Diogenes is the vice chair of the Department of Endodontics at the University of Texas Health at San Antonio, a director of the ABE and an associate editor of the Journal of Endodontics. His areas of research include inflammation, pain and regenerative endodontics. |

Asma A. Khan, B.D.S., Ph.D. Pain Track Co-Organizer Dr. Asma A. Khan is an endodontist and a neuroscientist. She conducts clinical, translational and basic science research towards the ultimate goal of improving pain management. Her current clinical projects are on the development of new strategies for the diagnosis and management of acute odontogenic pain, evaluation of new analgesics and anesthetics, and development of new diagnostics for the detection of cracks in teeth. Translational and basic science projects are focused on the role of extracellular vesicles (aka exosomes) and microRNAs in pain. The aim of these projects is to elucidate the mechanisms by which extracellular vesicles and microRNAs modulate pain. |

Joseph A. Petrino, D.D.S., M.S. Practice Management / Teamwork Track Organizer Dr. Joseph A. Petrino grew up in Montana. He graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2006. He then completed a general practice residency at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Minneapolis. Following completion of the endodontic residency at University of Minnesota, he entered private practice in St. Cloud, Minn. In 2011, he moved to Missoula, Mont., where he has owned and operated Missoula Endodontics, PC. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics in 2012. |

Sami M.A. Chogle, B.D.S., D.M.D., M.S.D. Surgical Root Canal Therapy Track Co-Organizer Dr. Sami M.A. Chogle received a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from India in 1993, a specialty Certificate in Endodontics and Master of Science in dentistry from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2000; and a D.M.D. degree from CWRU School of Dental Medicine in 2003. Dr. Chogle has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics since 2008. Dr. Chogle is a full-time educator and has served in several leadership roles. Currently Dr. Chogle serves as the chair and director of Advanced Specialty Education Program in Endodontics, Herbert Schilder Professor in Endodontics at the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Boston University. He also holds an adjunct faculty appointment as associate professor in the Department of Endodontics at the CWRU School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Chogle serves as a director on the ABE, in addition to his various roles within AAE. He also holds the position of vice president of the Massachusetts Association of Endodontists – and is its incoming president for 2022. |

Rachele Luciano, D.M.D. Surgical Root Canal Therapy Track Co-Organizer Dr Rachele Luciano is a Board-certified endodontist who obtained her D.M.D from McGill University in Montreal in 2007. She completed her post-graduate training at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, obtaining her endodontics specialty certification in 2011. Dr Luciano is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and an examiner and consultant for the RCD(C). She works full-time in private practice. |
