Se Young, who goes by Steven, is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania dental school and is currently a second year resident attending Columbia University. Steven was born in South Korea and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area playing football and dreaming of one day fixing teeth for the rest of his life. Some of his favorite hobbies include photography, watching movies, snowboarding, and looking for MB2 canals.
Steven and his co-presenter Sharon Yi became interested in this research after treating numerous undeveloped and mature teeth during residency with vital pulp therapy and wondered if there is a way to regenerate the pulp-dentin complex using a scaffold available in the clinic.
