Abstract: Sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) has been proven to be an effective endodontic irrigant due to its antimicrobial activity and tissue dissolution ability. The biggest disadvantage of NaOCl is its relatively high toxicity to the periradicular tissues. The GentleWave® procedure uses a high-tech delivery system to distribute fluids, including NaOCl, throughout the root canal system to thoroughly disinfect it while preserving tooth structure. This table clinic will present a novel in vitro model used to evaluate the tissue dissolution efficacy of different concentrations of NaOCl using the GentleWave® procedure.
