The purpose of this session is to (1) immediately engage you through the lived experience of a person who is in recovery from substance use disorders; (2) identify and reflect upon your individual affective response to substance use disorders and your patients who show evidence of this disease, and (3) recognize the effect of pejorative language when caring for people who use substances.
