Daniel G. Anderson is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, the Institute for Medical Engineering and Science, the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research, and the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Science and Technology at MIT. The research done in Prof. Anderson’s laboratory is focused on developing medical technology.




Joseph M. DeSimone is the Sanjiv Sam Gambhir Professor of Translational Medicine and Chemical Engineering at Stanford and a renowned entrepreneur. Well-known for research advances in areas including medical devices, nanomedicine, and 3D printing, DeSimone was recognized by President Obama in 2016 with the National Medal of Technology and Innovation.



 

Maria Kavallaris is Professor and Founding Director of the Australian Centre for NanoMedicine at UNSW Sydney, and Head of Translational Cancer NanoMedicine Theme at the Children’s Cancer Institute.  Working at the interface of medicine, science and engineering, their innovation in driving interdisciplinary research in cancer nanomedicine has led industry and clinical linkages for the development of cancer therapeutics and devices.





Alán Aspuru-Guzik’s research integrates robotics, machine learning, and quantum chemistry to develop “self-driving laboratories”, accelerating rates of scientific discovery. Alán develops quantum algorithms for machine learning and pioneered algorithms for simulating matter. Professor of Chemistry and Computer Science at University of Toronto, co-founder of Zapata Computing and Kebotix.
