"I had the privilege to attend the Women-in-science session at the CRS annual meeting 2022. It was eye-opening to hear Professor Tejal Desai’s talk about her career as a woman in biomedical engineering. Learning about the challenges that women face in our field helped me to be a better mentor for my undergraduate and graduate students, and to start thinking about new ways to reduce systemic gender discrimination in science."
