Dr Garry Laverty is an Associate Professor at the School of Pharmacy, Queen’ University Belfast. His research involves the development of peptide hydrogel implants as long-acting injectable drug delivery platforms to improve patient adherence to medicine e.g. combined contraception-HIV/AIDS prevention. His work is supported by £1.5M funding as Principal Investigator from sources including the EPSRC, MRC and Wellcome Trust.
