A Blended Approach To Learning
Our aim at Annual Meeting 2023 is to impart knowledge and sharpen your skills in endocrinology by incorporating more than one modality to deliver content. We are confident that our new blended learning approach will offer you a more comprehensive and effective learning experience that you will find highly beneficial.
The Flipped Classroom
The flipped classroom is a novel approach to teaching that replaces conventional lectures with more participant-centered learning methods. Attendees watch brief video lectures before attending sessions. On-site time is then focused on active learning activities like group discussions, project-based or problem-based assignments, and other engaging exercises. This instructional model empowers expert instructors to lead attendee learning by addressing their queries and utilizing course concepts in real-time during the session.

Cased-Based Conversations
Case-based sessions are a type of teaching methodology that utilizes real-life or hypothetical clinical situations to aid learners in gaining and utilizing knowledge and skills. In these sessions, attendees will be presented with a case study that typically reflects a complex, real-world situation, and is challenged to analyze and solve the problem using the concepts and principles they have learned. During the session, the facilitator may provide guidance and structure to help attendees work through the case study and arrive at a solution. The ultimate goal of these sessions is to promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills while also enhancing your understanding of course material and its real-world application.
Collaboration Station
The area will consist of collaborative discussions involving group interactions that promote active participation, sharing of ideas, and problem-solving. In this approach, learners work together in small groups or pairs to discuss and analyze concepts, synthesize information, and develop solutions to problems. Collaborative discussions encourage critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills and often lead to a deeper understanding of the topic at hand.
The AACE Talk Show
This space will host a panel discussion-style learning session, where a group of experts in the subject matter will participate in insightful and comprehensive conversations regarding a particular topic. The panelists will share their perspectives, insights, and experiences related to the topic, and they may respond to each other's comments or questions from the audience. This type of learning is to provide learning with a diverse range of perspectives on a particular subject and encourages critical thinking and active participation.
The Development Room
These educational sessions will be geared towards practical learning experiences, rather than theoretical knowledge. Specifically, the workshops will offer you the chance to actively engage in a range of hands-on activities, exercises, and simulations that will help you develop and refine specific skills. Our goal is to provide you with practical experience and hands-on training in a supportive and collaborative learning environment, which will instill the confidence necessary to apply your new skills in real-world scenarios.
