Heather Neuman, MD, MS is an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She completed residency at the University of North Carolina, and a surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She also completed a master’s degree in Health Services Research from Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Science. At UW, she clinically cares for patients with breast cancer, melanoma, and soft tissue tumors. Her overall research program strives to improve the quality of care provided to breast cancer patients. She is funded by an R01 from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality to study interventions to increase socioeconomically disadvantaged patients engagement in breast cancer surgery decision making, with additional funding from the NCI.
