Nearly a third of all adults in Indiana with a mental health condition had a serious mental illness (SMI) and did not receive treatment. The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team at Grant Blackford Mental Health provides care through a multidisciplinary team and support daily living skills and employment in addition to integrated dual disorder treatment, wellness management and psycho-education. The results include improved client outcomes as evidenced by greater medication adherence among patients and diversion from criminal justice correctional facilities.
