Session Description: Publishing in a peer-reviewed journal is a critical step to disseminating the knowledge and best practices of Infection Preventionists. It is an important tool to scale findings from research and evidence-based quality improvement projects to real world clinical and academic settings. In this session attendees will hear about barriers and facilitators to writing along with recommendations on action tactics to expedite the writing process. Hundreds of oral and poster presentations are presented at Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology annual conferences every year. However, the majority never result in published papers. The outcome of this session is for participants to be more comfortable with taking and idea and getting it to publication.

Explain organization steps from taking an idea to submission to rewrite and the final phase for publication.
