Session Description: As health care organizations search for ways to advance health equity in their organization and communities, the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology convened a taskforce to develop an actional plan that has not developed into a standing committee. During this session the presenters will offer participants insights into the internal process of designing APIC’s health equity focus for implementation.

Learning Objectives:

Describe what led APIC to develop a blueprints to advance health equity.
Describe at least two concrete components of our strategic health equity blueprint.
Highlight bold examples of what IPs can do to advance health equity.
List at least two challenges to accelerate health equity to improve key equity performance indicators (e.g. surveillance).
