Session Description: A comprehensive presentation on the critical role of CDC’s Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP) to promote and protect public health aboard cruise ships. VSP assists the cruise ship industry to prevent and control the introduction, transmission, and spread of gastrointestinal illnesses. This mission is accomplished through unannounced operational sanitation inspections, illness and outbreak monitoring, industry training seminars, and standardized construction guidelines, all of which will be covered during the session.
