Public health emergencies have and will continue to reveal the critical importance of planning for and responding to the needs of all MCH populations. We can begin to understand the depth and complexity of those needs by first listening to those who have experienced the personal and professional impacts of emergencies. This interactive session will showcase an innovative, web-based repository of stories capturing the experiences of a diverse group of individuals – including the intentional, equity-centered process undertaken to elicit, honor, and derive meaning from lived personal and/or professional experience. Participants will also be guided through an activity in which they can use established prompts to recount and reflect on the significance of their own emergency preparedness and response experiences, with an opportunity for group sharing and discussion.
