Prof. Carlos Spironelli Ramos graduated in dentistry in 1987 from State University of Londrina, Brazil. In the same year got a scholarship to study in Japan, University of Tokyo. From 1990 to 1996 held the master's and PhD program in endodontics. In 1997 published his first book, Endodontics, Biological and Clinical Foundations, co-authored by Clovis Monteiro Bramante. Since 1995 was professor of endodontics at State University of Londrina, coordinating the endodontics sector and graduate program from 1998 until 2012. Currently is professor at Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan, Utah. Author of more two books, Endodontics, Biological and Clinical Foundations (second edition), and Working Length Determination in Endodontics, Fundamentals and Techniques. Also, is the author of six book chapters in Endodontics, all dealing on apical limit and working length determination. With two international patents as inventor published, an electronic working length method called “Radicular Spectral Attenuation Coefficient” and an automated asymmetrical reciprocation movement, generating different devices using his patent technologies.
