Ariadne Letra is Professor and Senior Scientist at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine Dept of Oral and Craniofacial Sciences and Center for Craniofacial and Dental Genetics. She is a clinician-scientist and utilizes her experiences as a dentist and genetics researcher to combine sophisticated clinical phenotyping with large-scale genetic data to understand the genetic basis of apical periodontitis and other oral traits/conditions. Dr. Letra has published 132 publications in genetic/medical/dental journals, 160 abstracts, 5 book chapters, and numerous publications in the media (h-index = 37). Her research has been continuously funded by NIDCR as well as foundation and institutional grants. She is an associate editor of the Journal of Endodontics, and a member of the editorial board of medical and dental journals including the Journal of Dental Research, Journal of Dental Research Clinical and Translational Research, American Journal of Human Genetics, among others.

The AAE is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider, a recognized provider in California (#2030), Florida (#PP0049). Programs of the AAE (#214682) are accepted by AGD for Fellowship/Mastership credit. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. The AAE designates this activity for up to 28.5 continuing education credits. Concerns or complaints about a CE provider may be directed to the provider or to the Commission for Continuing Education Provider Recognition at ada.org/cerp.
