Prof. Laila Ahmed Bahammam is a professor and consultant of Endodontics at Faculty of Dentistry (KAUFD) and the head of the intellectual property unit at the center of knowledge economy and technology transfer at King Abdulaziz University. Also, she is a board member of the Saudi Dental Society. She is working as a part-timer at the Academic Leadership Center of Higher Education, Ministry of Education since 2014 and a representative of the Technology & Innovation Support Center (TISC) of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property. Previously, she was the supervisor of Education & Student Affairs and the Educational clinic director for KAUFD.
Prof. Bahammam is an inventor. She has several inventions and patents (around 30) in the field of dentistry. She won several local and international awards. Also, she is a trainer in the field of Endodontics, Health Education, Leadership, and Patents & Innovations. She is a member of several societies and associations; locally and internationally. Finally, she has several publications in the field of Dental Education and Endodontics; and participated in different international conferences as a speaker and judge, and a reviewer for several Journals (among which are the BMC Oral Health, BMC Medical Education, and Dental Traumatology Journals).
The AAE is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider, a recognized provider in California (#2030), Florida (#PP0049). Programs of the AAE (#214682) are accepted by AGD for Fellowship/Mastership credit. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. The AAE designates this activity for up to 28.5 continuing education credits. Concerns or complaints about a CE provider may be directed to the provider or to the Commission for Continuing Education Provider Recognition at ada.org/cerp.
