Spirituality is a dimension of wellness that affects a person’s quality of life, but it is not generally integrated with behavioral health services in a meaningful, systematic way. Recognizing this critical role in the lives of many people, and linked to our suicide prevention initiatives, Westchester County began an initiative to connect treatment organizations and faith communities. Join us as we explore the boundaries between pastoral counseling and behavioral health services, what faith-friendly behavioral services are and how to identify providers who fit those criteria to develop a referral pathway from faith community to treatment.
