Elizabeth Guroff is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist with over 25 years of experience in the behavioral health field as both a clinician and administrator. Guroff has worked in a range of clinical settings from treatment foster care and in-home treatment programs to outpatient mental health, private practice and community-based adult services to a variety of residential settings for children and adults. In all of those settings, she has provided direct clinical services and supervision in all of those areas. Prior to joining the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, Guroff was the COO of a large mental health provider in Montgomery County, Md., where she oversaw and directed the implementation of trauma-informed care (TIC) practices across the entire agency. Since joining the National Council, she has consulted with organizations and systems of all sizes on the implementation of TIC approaches, leadership development and organizational change management.
