Jimmy Todd has more than 35 years of communications industry knowledge and experience, and as the CEO & General Manager for Nex-Tech strategically leads growth, innovation, and diversity. Nex-Tech is a rural cooperative communications and technology company, based in Lenora, Kansas, and was the first company in the nation to bring FTTH technology to an entire rural telecom exchange. Today, Nex-Tech’s broadband service area is primarily fiber-optic covering approximately 10,000 square miles across Northwest and Central Kansas. As a highly-diversified organization, Nex-Tech has grown to offer technology solutions and business services utilizing a highly-certified Data Center infrastructure and a state-of-the-art Network Operations Center including hands-on and on-site technical support, across the United States, as well as internationally.
For many years, Jimmy has been actively engaged in supporting advocacy for fiber broadband at the State and National levels serving as a Board/Committee member and holding officer positions for Kansas Fiber Network, WTA, NTCA, NRTC, and FBA. Most recently, he was appointed to serve a two-year term on the FCC’s Task Force for Reviewing Connectivity and Technology Needs of Precision Agriculture in the United States.
