Dr. Chicoine graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) in 2003. After 2 years in mixed animal practice, he began a clinical pharmacology residency and graduate studies. In 2007 he completed a MSc and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology. Dr. Chicoine is currently an Assistant Professor at the WCVM. His primary teaching duties are veterinary pharmacology and professional foundations courses. His research interests include veterinary use of cannabinoids, drug residues in food animals, antimicrobial use & resistance, and clinical pharmacokinetics.
