More data than ever is being generated as part of everyday delivery of healthcare services. What are you doing to turn that data into value? With the changing healthcare environment, it is imperative to leverage data as an important asset to improve business outcomes, clinical outcomes, and to demonstrate the value of the services we provide. This presentation will explore data management and analytics best practices and provide practical guidance on how to achieve the full benefit from data and analytics to improve patient care. We will share how data is stored in an Enterprise Data Warehouse and the methods and tools used for descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics. We will explore how to leverage data for quality improvement within a learning health system. We will share our experiences and lessons learned along this analytics journey from Intermountain Healthcare, an integrated, nonprofit healthcare system.
