Dr. Swiggum is an Associate Professor in the Wingate University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and a contract therapist for Full Circle Pediatric Therapy. She has research interests in pain in children and physical therapy interventions to improve activity in children with neurological impairments. She is a member of the Practice Development Committee of APedPT and was active in the COVID-19 task force. She has authored several journal articles and book chapters.
