Gas in the Tank: Fueling Innovation Through Communities of Practice

A Community of Practice is a goal-directed gathering of passionate learners, focused on solving or discussing a common problem or interest. In this session, participants will learn this model and use it to actively engage in topic-specific conversations. To initiate conversations, your facilitator will share background information and resources on the topic. Participants will have the opportunity to form a community of practice around their chosen topic in this venue and beyond.
Designated facilitators will frame the problem and questions around the topic and support generative discussion. Facilitators are champions of the topic and have an interest in developing innovation around that topic. The facilitators will develop questions/materials ahead of time for the group to review, facilitate the conversation at APPTAC and report outcomes to the leads of this session including results of their conversation, perceived needs and requests to support this community of practice session.
