The promotion of evidence-based practice is necessary to ensure that practitioners of pediatric therapy provide care based on the best available research to children and families to maximize their functional outcomes. Journal clubs are an excellent way for professionals to connect, share information, and problem solve. It is challenging to find articles that are practical, applicable, and relevant to our clinical questions. Appraising research can be complicated and time-consuming. However, when conducted as a collaborative activity with one's peers and with the optimal tools and resources, journal clubs will encourage robust conversations, enhance creativity, improve practice to serve our patients better, and provide leadership opportunities to clinicians. The presenters will share the why and how of conducting a journal club, discuss facilitation strategies that increase participant engagement and synthesize participants' own experiences with research evidence to provide more effective care. You will leave this session empowered to lead effective and meaningful journal clubs with the necessary resources and skills to lead your journal club within your Communities of Practice at the national, state, and institutional levels.
