Dr. Whetstone is a 1993 graduate of Kansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. After completing a Small Animal Internship, at the University of Georgia’s School of Veterinary medicine, he joined a mixed animal practice in South Central Iowa. He and his wife, Kate (also a DVM) returned to their home state of Kansas after purchasing a small animal practice in Wichita. Dr. Whetstone has been in small animal practice for over 22 years before joining Virbac. Dr. Whetstone and his family help manage the family commercial cow operation where his wife was raised in the southern Flint Hills. He has two teenage children and enjoys coaching and mentoring young people through many volunteer activities.
