The present work aims to measure the power dissipated by switching in the MOSFETs, housed in ACEPACK SMIT and TO-247 packages, using an LLC resonant converter and calorimetric method. The dissipated power from switching can weigh heavily on the total dissipated power of the device and the consequent reduction in efficiency; being able to quantify it correctly is the basis for optimizing the devices and increasing the efficiency of converters. In an LLC converter, this type of dissipated power cannot be measured with standard methods such as using an oscilloscope as some of the energy is recovered and not dissipated.
