Sarah E. Chisholm, MD., MS., Pediatric PGY-1 resident at Dartmouth Health Children's Hospital. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience from Boston University in 2013 and her Master's degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University in 2016. She completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland - Ochsner Clinical School in 2021.
Sarah is passionate about cancer research and has previously worked to isolate and identify small populations of tumor-initiating cells in ovarian cancer with the Rueda group at Massachusetts General Hospital. She then joined Dr. Chiappinelli's lab to study the epigenetic role in cancer therapy and tumor microenvironments. While attending medical school at the University of Queensland - Ochsner clinical school, she worked with Dr. Ian Frazer's group to investigate the role of bacterial secretomes in the progression of squamous cell carcinoma. She plans to pursue an oncology fellowship after completing her pediatric training and continue research in immunotherapies.
