This course is designed for urogynecologist who have considered using botulinum toxin injections to treat refractory voiding symptoms but have not yet performed the procedure. The goal of this course is to provide practical information to the urogynecologist which includes: use of botulinum toxin in neurogenic and non-neurogenic voiding disorders; mechanism of action; injection techniques for bladder; urethral sphincter and pelvic floor; the safe handling of the agent; and potential complications of injections. Video demonstration of techniques and method of action will be included. Note: this activity will include the discussion of off-label use of botulinum toxin.

Describe the role of botulinum toxin to treat bladder, sphincter and pelvic floor conditions.
