Learn about the collaborative working relationship between the Missouri Behavioral Health Council and the Department of Mental Health and how they worked together to assemble substance use disorder (SUD) treatment providers and rejuvenate an antiquated treatment system. You will hear how Gibson Center for Behavioral Change participated in the development, planning and implementation of “transformation” within their organization.

Learning Objectives:

Maximize your knowledge of how to leverage relationships and advocate to transform a treatment system statewide.
Reconstruct how treatment providers and state leadership worked together to create and implement a modernized treatment system to be medically focused, evidence-based, and outcomes driven.
Examine as one treatment provider will describe how they participated in the program redesign and how they implemented treatment and policy changes, such as using the ASAM Criteria.
